Each mule is able to carry up to 60 kilograms. 

The service of renting mules can also be utilized to descend people or to carry out evacuations in the case that a visitor needs assistance. 

The muleteers, very knowledgeable of the local topography of Aconcagua Park, are in charge of packing the loads and of guiding these trustable animals in the difficult geography of Aconcagua.  To assure the work, each muleteer has 3 mules at his disposal. 

The muleteers also have the duty of loading and unloading the equipment transported by the mules in the approach camps so that each person can use their belongings to sleep. 

These mountain folk, trained from when they where children to use mules and horses also collaborate with the visitors, assisting them to cross rivers and streams when the water level makes the crossing difficult or when the water temperatures are really low. 

The work and help to the visitors many times exceeds its normal duties, and because of this we suggest tipping the muleteers.  It will be well received by these people.
